INCREASE OF EXPORT RATE BY 40 PER CENT IN 2 YEARS"

Stating that exhibition went quite successfully for them, Baysal mentioned said that they increased export rate by 40% in last 2 years thanks to the progress in export business. Stating that Aksöz Makina has turned 41 this year and that they felt honored and gratified by it, Mss. Baysal said that they have acted with the awareness of establishing a strong name in domestic market and made their brand widespread dramatically abroad also.

Ayşen Baysal, Foreign Trade Specialist at Aksöz Makina answered our questions following Interlift. Stating that exhibition went quite successfully for them, Baysal mentioned said that they increased export rate by 40% in last 2 years thanks to the progress in export business. Stating that Aksöz Makina has turned 41 this year and that they felt honored and gratified by it, Mss. Baysal said that they have acted with the awareness of establishing a strong name in domestic market and made their brand widespread dramatically abroad also.  

 

- Could you make an assessment about the exhibition by sharing your impressions on Interlift?

According to the statistics declared following Interlift, 574 firms from 48 countries participated in the exhibition. Germany became naturally first among participating countries by company ranking. Italy ranked second with 96 firms and China ranked third with 68 firms and Spain ranked fourth with 44 firms. Turkey assumed the title of fifth biggest participant country with 39 firms involved in lift industry. Actually we pride ourselves on being in competition and sharing top ranks with global giants in this competition. 

 

-Could you list your purposes in participating the exhibition and talk about your earnings following the exhibition?

First of all it was very important for us to represent our country. We have exhibited our flag proudly with our global advertisements. Furthermore to appear as a 41-year firm involved in both production and marketing in such significant and crowded organizations is a traditional activity for us. We experience an advantage of reinforcing our friendships with a firm basis of foundation in such kind of organizations. Imagine it, it a strange and amusing feeling to see your many friends from all around the world in permanent contact with you at the same time. You receive positive energy from your every guest and your earnings increase accordingly. Trade is reinforced, new products draw attention, orders rise and many subjects left in suspense are solved face to face easily. Moreover foundations of totally new friendships are laid so. That takes the cake…   

  

- With which products and services did you participate in the exhibition? What are the attitudes shown and questions asked about your products during the exhibitions?

Lift parts manufactured by us cover a very wide range including shock absorber roller guide shoes, balance chains and rollers, rope attachments, brake blocks and many lift parts as well as many products from cast pulleys to plastic pulleys, from regulators to hydraulic buffers. We were pleased with the interest in our products and stand. Most asked question is related to our identification as a manufacturer and delivery times. Of course they are the question types that we liked most because our answers to those questions fill us with pride.

 

- What are the outstanding features and advantages of the exhibition as compared with other exhibitions?

Although Interlift is a significant organization in which global giants participated and gave wide publicity to a significant number of visitor profiles, it fell a little short as an event. Furthermore connection of exhibition halls with each other is weak and planned disorderly. I think that it is a failure which can’t be expected from such a huge organization.

 

- What are your targets in Europe as a firm? Could inform us on them by describing your current activities?

Our firm experiences the pleasure and pride of its 41st anniversary. We have made our brand widespread dramatically abroad with the awareness of establishing a quite strong name. Our export rate increased 40% in last two years. We know that we enhanced considerably our competitive power in European market. However we have speeded up our promotional works in both USA and Middle East. We take further pleasure in appearing in the exhibitions at home and abroad. Updating our manufacturing technology and capacity we follow closely the developments in technology. First and foremost we believe in us and our team. Naturally this maps out our route. 

 

-Starting from exhibition, what are your impressions on global lift industry principally European lift industry?

It follows from our examination in the exhibitions where we were participants that Turkey follows the developments in industry in the front rank. Although general global view towards our country is not so sympathetic due to our geographical position, the fact that Turkey is in competition with developed countries awakened nationalist feelings in us, because we gained acceleration beyond expectations in the international scene. It is a nice feeling for us. 

 

- How do you consider the developments experienced by the lift industry on the basis of product and firm? Starting from your conversations and impressions in the exhibition, what can you say about the developments and problems experienced by the sector?

First of all it should be considered in terms of domestic and foreign markets. It is inevitable to consider Turkish Lift Industry directly with urbanization and construction industry developing accordingly. Considering the said process in Turkey will go on, lift industry will continue to grow up with lift industry. However ongoing Turkish investments in African countries affected positively lift industry. Market shrinkage has been observed in Lift Industry due to the political problems experienced recently throughout Middle East and Russia.   Accordingly growth in import business causes an increase in foreign trade deficit in the industry.

 

- Economic and political developments experienced throughout the world caused a serious market loss and deviations in Turkey. Could you share your studies and your solutions introduced by you for the matter concerned?

Actually Turkey has a very good position in the market. Just short-term fluctuations have been experienced. In my opinion they are caused by the unpreventable increase in the acceleration of Turkey, because an effort to fall within the developed countries is a high-cost and difficult duty. When a development which couldn’t be expected from Turkey is observed, it brings to mind that there may be an effort to create artificial crises. Thus I don’t think that Turkey will never suffer a market loss.
