TURKISH GOODS ATTRACTED GREAT ATTENTION IN RUSSIAN MARKET

İnara Bayram, General Manager of Steimberg Turkish Goods attracted great attention in Russian Market

 

We had a talk with İnara Bayram, General Manager of Steimberg Asansör which participated in Russian Elevator Exhibition with packaged lift and lift equipments about the exhibition and activities of the firm. İnara Bayram, stating that visitors attached great attention to their products at their stand especially since the production is carried out in Turkey said “the fact that origin of our brand is Germany, it fulfills German standards and that they are manufactured with Turkish quality became a topic which caught the fancy of visitors and aroused curiosity

 

- Could you make a consideration about the exhibition by sharing your impressions on Russian Lift Exhibition?

We have experienced a more crowded exhibition followed mainly by professionals in terms of visitor profile as compared with recent season in Russian Elevator Week 2017. We may say that innovative solutions are produced in Russian lift industry with each passing year and that awareness of the clients on elevators was raised. I think that this exhibition met the expectations in terms of both visitors and participants. 

 

- Could you list your purposes in participating the exhibition and talk about your earnings following the exhibition?

Our purposes in participating in the exhibition are to introduce our brand in the various regions of Russia and countries of CAC and listen to the problem and problems of our clients. We would like to minimize the forward looking problems by following them closely since it is not possible for to handle instantly with the problems arising from the distance .

 

- With which products and services did you participate in the exhibition? What are the attitudes shown and questions asked about your products during the exhibitions?

We participated in Russian Elevator Exhibition with packaged lift and lift equipments. Visitors attached great attention to their products especially since the production is carried out in Turkey. The fact that origin of our brand is Germany, it fulfills German standards and that they are manufactured with Turkish quality became a topic which caught the fancy of visitors and aroused curiosity. It follows from it that Turkish brands draw interest in Russia and CAC countries.

 

-What are the outstanding features and advantages of the exhibition as compared with other exhibitions?

Russia has very strict regulations on elevators and many features which don’t exist in many countries are requested. It is not possible for us to see the said features in other exhibitions. It has great contributions since it is an exhibition which allows us understanding what are demanded from manufacturers and ensures that products are manufactured in accordance with these standards.

 

- What are your targets in Russia and nearby geography as a firm? Could inform us on them by describing your current activities?

We have pretty much sales intensively in Saint Petersburg and Moscow. Our targets to make our brand a well-known name in all regions of Russia and to render service so.

 

- What are your impressions on the lift industry in Russia and nearby geography?

Russia and nearby geography is a very large market. 50 thousand elevators are installed in one year in only Russia. Even though it is so attractive, it is very difficult. It is possible for us to see that state-owned factories have met still many demands. Thus we need to challenge for price. State-owned factories and manufacturers in China have more advantages than us and they quote more affordable prices.

 

- How do you consider the developments experienced by the lift industry in the region? What are your impressions on the developments and problems experienced by the sector by leading out from your conversations and impressions in the exhibition?

Elevator has been used since very old times in Russia. All of those elevators will be replaced. However construction of new building is so fast. Consumers are acting now consciously and requesting that modernized and newly manufactured elevators be in accordance with cutting-edge technology and designs. We may meet such demands easily. Turkey came a long way for it. Current production in our country is not available in Russia. Because of both the expensiveness of materials and expensiveness of workforce Russia has been still a very huge and good market as a consumer.

 

- Anything else you'd like to add?

Russian market is a market where a little number of firms can enter in and become successful. Standards are kept vey high even though production is very low in Russia. The firms like OTIS and KONE are successful also. They quote very affordable prices. We try to compete with these brands. 

 

Assembling firms can solve production problems during assembly or provide solutions for them. Assembling firms or masters can’t find such solutions. Because their business is just to erect a material designed perfectly. Thus Turkish firms can’t be successful in this market. It is necessary for manufacturers to provide material with zero mistake. Top producers can produce complete products but their prices are not competitive. Thus they can’t be successful. As a matter of fact demand of Russia is perfect product with affordable price.
