     We had a conversation with Vital Elevator export manager Yakup Ünalmış at the Liftex Fair which took place in Tehran, Iran. Ünalmis told us that even though it was company’s fi rs time at the Liftex Fair the production of the company draw a lot of attention.

     Yakup mentioned that the fair went very successfully and exceeded their expectations. The product that draw most of attention was ‘’ECO series” type doors. Ünalmış told us that they created this product especially for competitive market like that.

     ’’We started export activities a year ago and we already have been exporting our production to 9 countries, also our export production is 15 percent from total production volume. Our goal is to reach a 50 percent production to export.” said Ünalmış.

     Vital elevator export manager Yakup Ünalmış told us that company is intending to get into the Iranian elevator market and that is why they participated in the Iranian fair. He also said that he had met some Iranian representatives and they were very interested in the company`s products.’’ We assume that interest in our products is what brought us to Iran. The representatives that we met before wanted to cooperate with us. After negotiations and dealership agreement, we are ready to start preparations for getting into the Iranian market.

    The fair was very effi cient for us. People were quite interested in our products. We believe that after our products start to show in the Iranian markets our emporium will increase.

    We made after sales service support agreement with a company that based here in Iran. This company will provide service to the buyers after their purchase our product. The fact that we have that kind of service brings us to the forefront. We need this, because companies that were coming to visit our booth at the fair pose questions like “Do you have a warranty?” or “How is your after sales service support procedure?’’ Now we have an advantage of having collaborators right here in Iran. Usually our products do not need assistance after sales, but if it’s necessary our partners will provide it.

     We had some face to face meetings before coming to the fair. Our general purpose of visiting Iran was country evaluation and market research. After we get the impression we decided to participate in the fair. Elevator sector in Iran has a very well improved structure which is taken very seriously. The fair was very crowded and visitors were very well knowledgeable. We never thought it would be so busy but the fact it was very pleasing.

    We won’t be having just one dealership in Iran. Everybody who wants to buy our products will be able to fi nd them. In our opinion one dealership will limit us, and after seeing the fair we sure of it. We had some sales agreement with couple of visitors from different states, and we invited them to visit our factory in Turkey. When the fair is over we will meet them again and have the chance for healthier discussions.

    Being Vital Elevators we are new at exportations but we already export 15 percent of our total production Even though we started a year ago we now exporting to Georgia, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Libia, France, Brazil, Palestine and Iran. We want to expand our production rate and country count. This is why we participate in international lift fairs abroad. We go abroad to visit new companies and research the market. Briefl y I can say that we are dedicating a large part of our shift to export.”
